The Crew is a team of several hundred people working together to support the Overnight Walkers. Often beginning before the event, the Crew teams are present for the entire night and are crucial to the success of the Walk. The registration fee is $50 (or $35 for full-time students).
What you do on the Crew depends on your skills and your interests. We need people to assist with everything from the route stops to marking the walk route. We especially need motorcyclists (for route support) and medical professionals (Doctors, Nurses, EMTs, Physical Therapists, and Podiatrists). You'll have the opportunity to participate in a Crew introductory meeting and a Crew Training event before the Walk weekend. On the Saturday of the Walk, there will be an All-Crew meeting to review the city specific details you’ll need to know. Our staff Crew Coordinator can also answer any questions you may have.
Review the team choices and select your top four preferences. Once you complete the registration, the Crew Coordinator will be in touch to discuss your team choices and will give you an assignment. While Crew members are not required to fundraise, we highly encourage you to do so. As a member of The Overnight Crew, you'll have access to the same extensive network of fundraising support and tools used by the Walkers.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of so many of you, General Crew registration for the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk all-volunteer Crew in Dallas has reached capacity.
