Training Walks

Our volunteer-led training walks are scheduled throughout the season in locations all across the country. Walkers of all fitness levels are welcome, and they are a great way for walkers to get in shape and meet new friends.

Start building the Overnight Community today
We need volunteers like you to organize Training Walks in your area. We’ll help you reach out to your fellow Overnight walkers, and you can invite friends, family, and donors to come out and walk with you. The Overnight is not just one night – the sooner you start to build the community, the better experience you will have.

Training Walk Date(s): Saturday, March 19th / Saturday, April 19th / Saturday, May 7th
Start Time: 10am
Starting Location: Empire Espresso at 3829 S. Edmunds Street in Seattle, WA 98118
Level: Flat, some hills
Pace: 3-4mph
Distance: 6-7 Miles
Notes: This is my challenge walking route - some up and down hills (great training for San Fran), a few stairs to climb, an easy 3 mile flat walk around Seward park and then up and down back to Empire Espresso.   It's about 6 miles - perhaps on 5/7 we can add some distance in prep for the Overnight.
