The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your donation is deductible as a charitable contribution as allowed by law. The Out of the Darkness Overnight is a self-sustaining event benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The proceeds will be used to fund research and education, promote public awareness and provide programs for survivor treatment. A portion of the contributions will pay for expenses arising from The Out of the Darkness Overnight, an extraordinary opportunity to meet others whose lives have been touched by suicide, reflect and share. While it is difficult to know in advance the costs of the event, contributors can be reassured that AFSP shall maintain the highest degree of fiscal responsibility.
